PERI-DOS IS USED FOR :
Peri-Dos is used for the short-term treatment of constipation.
USING PERI-DOS :
Take each dose with a full glass of water or juice and drink plenty of fluids while taking Peri-Dos. Laxatives should not be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
SIDE EFFECTS OF PERI-DOS :
Peri-Dos may cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Peri-Dos may cause the urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. Do not be alarmed. It is not harmful. Notify your doctor if you develop: rectal bleeding, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, persistent constipation. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS WHILE TAKING PERI-DOS :
Tell your doctor if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, edema, allergies (especially to tartrazine). Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. Peri-Dos should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Consult your doctor before using any medication while breast-feeding.
MEDICATION INTERACTIONS TAKING PERI-DOS :
Because laxatives may interfere with the absorption of some medications, it is important to tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
IF YOU OVERDOSE WITH PERI-DOS :
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums and eyes.
IF YOU MISS A DOSE WITH PERI-DOS :
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double-up the dose to catch up.
HOW TO STORE PERI-DOS :
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom.
